The first nucleus of the Islamic Education Association in the Kingdom of Bahrain was developed in the year 1978 AD, with a generous voluntary initiative by a group of activists in the field of charitable and humanitarian work, with a sense of human responsibility and fulfillment of duty towards their religion, country, and nation. In improving the living and educational conditions of the target groups, including poor families and orphans inside and outside Bahrain through numerous development projects and programmes. In the year 1990 AD, the association was re-registered under Registration No. 4 / C / DG in accordance with the Law of Social and Cultural Associations and Clubs, and it was published in the Official Gazette No. 1935 issued on Wednesday, December 26, 1990 AD.
Al-Dorar Al-Sunni Foundation: A scientific, media, and endowment institution. It has a great purpose, a clear message, a future vision, and a specific goal. The goal: preserving the Sunnah and the legacy of prophecy (in its comprehensive sense). Tafaoul Center for Special Education is a non-profit charitable center affiliated with the Tafaoul Center for Special Educational Services for Children Foundation. Department of Holy Quran Affairs - Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Decree No. 53 of 2011 was issued establishing the Department of Holy Quran Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments. The decree stipulates that a department called the "Department of Holy Quran Affairs" shall be established within the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, reporting to the Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs. This department shall manage all affairs related to the Holy Quran and the institutions and centers operating in this field. This includes licensing and supervising Quran centers and circles, developing their educational curricula, developing their performance and improving their outcomes, organizing the Grand Bahrain Competition, participating in international Quran competitions, in addition to implementing scientific, educational and cultural programs and activities, and cooperating with official bodies and civil society institutions to serve and care for the Holy Quran. The department's responsibilities are summarized as follows: 1- Developing and implementing the centers' work plan and program and supervising their implementation. 2- Developing and implementing plans, programs and curricula to develop memorization centers and raise their technical and educational performance. 3- Develop and implement the rules, regulations, and procedures for operating the centers and circles, and implement the approved ones. 4- Follow up on the administrative, financial, and technical work of all centers and circles. 5- Set performance standards and evaluate the performance of Quran centers and circles and their affiliates accordingly. 6- Organize the Bahrain Grand Competition for Quran Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation, and develop it continuously. 7- Represent the Kingdom of Bahrain in international Quran competitions and strive to achieve advanced positions therein. 8- Participate in forums and gatherings concerned with the Holy Quran inside and outside Bahrain. 9- Plan and implement programs and activities to strengthen the positive relationship between memorization centers and individuals and institutions in society. 10- Review Quran copies and books related to the Holy Quran in coordination with the Quran Review Committee.
